Toyota didn’t come half-cocked to the 2020 Chicago Auto Show in February, bringing not one but seven different 2021 special edition vehicles. Among them was the first-ever 2021 Highlander XSE, bringing a bit of sporty flair to the new SUV.

2021 Toyota Highlander XSE

The 2021 Toyota Highlander XSE combines the sport-minded styling and retuned suspension the XSE namesake is known for with the raw power, rugged capabilities, and family friendliness of the Highlander. The result is a stunning, exciting vehicle that’s fun to drive whether you opt for front-wheel drive or available Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive.

New Trail & Nightshade Editions

Joining the 2021 Highlander XSE in Chicago were three new Trail editions and three new Nightshade Editions. The 2021 Toyota Tacoma Trail, Tundra Trail, and 4Runner Trail all feature distinctive black badging on the outside and black seating with tan contrast stitching and all-weather floor liners on the inside. The 4Runner Trail even includes a 40-quart cooler that keeps ice frozen for up to seven days. Toyota also revealed the Tacoma Nightshade, Tundra Nightshade, and Sequoia Nightshade, which offer blacked-out details including a darkened chrome grille.

Because it’s Toyota, these seven special editions aren’t just for show—they’re made to go. The 2021 Highlander XSE and the Trail and Nightshade variants will be available for purchase when they arrive at Wondries Toyota later this year. To learn more, give us a call or shoot us an email.
