Multi-Terrain Select

When you’re in the thick of it, this available system helps regulate wheelspin by automatically adjusting the engine throttle and traction control. In 4×4 low and high range, a quick turn of the dial toggles between terrain modes: Mud, Sand, Rock, Mogul (i-FORCE only) or Auto (i-FORCE MAX only).

Electronically Locking Rear Differential

Tundra’s available electronically locking rear differential for TRD Pro and TRD Off-Road Packages evenly distributes engine power to both rear wheels. Once the system is engaged, both rear wheels move at the same speed and provide more grip in low-traction conditions.

Premium Towing Machine

When hitched up, Tundra’s advanced towing tech works its magic. After you plug the trailer in to Tundra’s available 7-pin connector, Tundra calculates its length without any input from the driver. And with two TOW/HAUL modes, Tundra can adjust throttle response based on what you’re towing. From small utility trailers to RVs—Tundra’s equipped with all the tech and capability you need to tow with confidence.

Adaptive Variable Suspension

Now available for the first time on Tundra, Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) adjusts damping force based on ever-changing road conditions. Whether it be a large pothole, bump or rock, Tundra’s built-in actuators in the front and rear shock absorbers are designed to continuously change damping force for refined riding comfort, confident handling and enhanced towing stability.

Load-Leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension

Tundra’s rear air suspension automatically adjusts the rear to help it stay level when hauling a heavy load. Available on certain grades, this system also lets you choose from three manual height modes: High, for slow-speed, off-road driving; Low, to help with loading and unloading; and Normal, for everyday driving.

Active Aero Front Splitter

Get more bang for your truck—customize your vehicle to be as bold as you, with Tundra’s newly available SX Package. Dress up your Tundra with stunning Dark Gray Metallic 18-in. wheels and black body-color trim, including on the outer door handles and the rear inboard bumper. Tundra’s door badges have also been removed, for a minimalist look, while the 4×4 badge on the tailgate gets blacked out on applicable models. Similar styling can be found inside the cabin, as black accents replace smoked silver for the trim. The SX Package is offered with exterior colors Ice Cap, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Celestial Silver Metallic and, for a particularly striking look, Midnight Black Metallic.

Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control

Intended for highway use, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) is an adaptive cruise control system that is designed to be set at speeds above 20 mph and uses vehicle-to-vehicle distance control to help maintain a preset distance from the vehicle ahead of you.

Lane Departure Alert With Steering Assist

When white/yellow lane markings or certain road-edge boundary lines are detected at speeds above 32 mph, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA) is designed to issue an audio/visual lane departure warning if an inadvertent lane departure is detected. If the driver does not take corrective action, the system is also designed to provide gentle corrective steering for lane-keeping assistance.

Lane Tracing Assist

When Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) is enabled and lane markers are detected, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) uses the lines on the road and/or preceding vehicles to provide active driving assistance and help keep the vehicle centered in its lane.

Road Sign Assist

Using an intelligent camera, Road Sign Assist (RSA) is designed to detect speed limit signs, stop signs, Do Not Enter signs and yield signs, and display an icon of the sign on the Multi-Information Display (MID).

Automatic High Beams

The Automatic High Beams (AHB) are designed to help you see more clearly at night at speeds above 21 mph. The AHB system is designed to detect the headlights of oncoming vehicles and taillights of preceding vehicles, then automatically toggles between high and low beams accordingly.
