Multi-Terrain Select

RAV4 features standard Multi-Terrain Select (MTS) on All-Wheel Drive (AWD) gas models. Choose between four modes (MUD & SAND, ROCK & DIRT, SNOW and NORMAL) for enhanced traction. When activated, the system is designed to sense slippage and regulate wheelspin by automatically adjusting the engine throttle, brakes and drive-force distribution—helping to maximize driving performance on different surfaces.

Dynamic Torque Vectoring AWD With Rear Driveline Disconnect

Available Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive (TV-AWD) helps enhance responsiveness and stability by sending up to 50 percent of the power to the rear and then further distributing that power to the right or left wheel. To help boost fuel efficiency, Rear Driveline Disconnect will stop sending power to the rear when it isn’t necessary.

TRD Off-Road

RAV4 TRD Off-Road’s subtle styling differences include dark-gray front and rear lower valence, LED fog lights and numerous black-painted accents. Rugged overfenders also amp up its exterior look, along with matte-black 18-in. TRD alloy wheels wrapped in aggressive Falken^® WILDPEAK A/T Trail tires.

Hands-Free Power Liftgate

Powered to help you out. With the push of a button, the available power rear liftgate can open and close automatically. When your hands are full, the available hands-free power liftgate senses your Smart Key fob and opens automatically when you wave your foot under the center of the rear bumper.

Accessory Power Outlet

Power your gear wherever you go. All you have to do is access the rear cargo area and plug into RAV4’s standard 12V/120W outlet to give you the charge you need to keep going. Adventure grade, TRD Off-Road and Hybrid Woodland Edition up the power with an additional 120V/100W power outlet in the rear cargo area.

The available 12.3-in. Multi-Information Display (MID) presents turn-by-turn directions, safety info, alerts and more, all at a glance so you can keep your eyes on the road.

Front and Rear Parking Assist With Automatic Braking

Available Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking (PA w/AB) audibly and visually warns you when it detects stationary objects or vehicles approaching from the rear. If the system determines there may be contact with a detected obstacle or vehicle, it will reduce engine power and/or apply the brakes.

Panoramic View Monitor With Camera Perimeter Scan

RAV4’s available Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) with Perimeter Scan helps you check your surroundings for hazards. It uses four cameras, one on each side of the vehicle, to display a bird’s-eye view onto the touchscreen display. When you’re parked and using the Moving View setting, RAV4 creates an animated virtual view from above to give you a bigger picture of what’s around.

USB Ports and Qi-Compatible Wireless Charging

Stay connected to fun. Plug your smartphone or mobile device into one of the available five USB ports to power up. You can also place your device on the available Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging pad found conveniently in the tray below the climate controls.

Destination Assist

Take the stress out of being in unfamiliar territory. With an active Drive Connect trial or subscription, Destination Assist allows you to talk to a live agent while they help you find your destination’s coordinates along with directions on how to get there. Available one-year trial subscription.

Service Connect

Stay up to date on your RAV4’s information. Every new RAV4 comes with up to a 10-year trial of Service Connect, which provides you with data such as mileage, fuel level and service history. Enable maintenance alerts and receive maintenance reminders that can also be sent to your preferred dealer for extra convenience. Up to a 10-year trial included.

Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control

Intended for highway use, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) * is an adaptive cruise control system that is designed to be set at speeds above 20 mph and uses vehicle-to-vehicle distance control to help maintain a preset distance from the vehicle ahead of you.

Automatic High Beams

The Automatic High Beams (AHB) are designed to help you see more clearly at night at speeds above 21 mph. The AHB system is designed to detect the headlights of oncoming vehicles and taillights of preceding vehicles, then automatically toggles between high and low beams accordingly.

Lane Departure Alert With Steering Assist

When white/yellow lane markings or certain road edge boundary lines are detected at speeds above 32 mph, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA) is designed to issue an audio/visual lane departure warning if an inadvertent lane departure is detected. If the driver does not take corrective action, the system is also designed to provide gentile corrective steering for lane-keeping assistance.

Lane Tracing Assist

When Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) is enabled and lane markers are detectable, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) uses the lines on the road and/or preceding vehicles to provide active driving assistance and help keep the vehicle centered in its lane.

Road Sign Assist

Using an intelligent camera, Road Sign Assist (RSA) is designed to detect speed limit signs, stop signs, Do Not Enter signs and yield signs, and display an icon of the sign on the Multi-Information Display (MID).

Eight Airbags

Every RAV4 comes standard with a driver and front passenger Advanced Airbag System with driver and front passenger seat-mounted side airbags, driver knee airbag, front passenger seat-cushion airbag, in addition to front and rear side curtain airbags —eight airbags total.

Smart tech helps keep you safe. This standard comprehensive suite of six advanced safety features is designed to help keep you out of harm’s way.
