Powerful Electric Motor

bZ4X takes advantage of an electric powertrain by delivering almost instantaneous torque to a drive that comes naturally. Front-wheel-drive models use one electric motor to produce 201 hp with 196 lb.-ft. of max torque, while all-wheel-drive models harness two electric motors to deliver 214 hp with 248 lb.-ft. of max torque to both axles combined.

Regenerative Braking With Boost Mode

The unique driving experience of bZ4X comes from the way it harnesses and delivers electric power. By optimizing the force used on the acceleration pedal, you can easily tap into bZ4X’s power. When you’re not on the accelerator, regenerative braking will recapture lost energy while coasting and help slow you down.

Charge Scheduling

Charge smarter. Take advantage of available off-peak electricity rates when charging your bZ4X. Through its touchscreen display or the Toyota app on your compatible smartphone, you can create a schedule for what time to start and stop charging while plugged in. And when you need to charge right away, just hit the “Charge Now” button to begin charging immediately.

Home Charger and Installation

Make it easier to go electric with a quicker Level 2 charger that can be installed at home for added convenience. And by using resources such as ChargePoint^® and Qmerit, you’ll be able to find a home charger and licensed electrician to get you set up.

Clean Assist

Reducing your carbon footprint has never been easier. Toyota’s complimentary Clean Assist program allows eligible owners to offset vehicle charging with 100% renewable energy. Through the Toyota app, the program can keep track of the amount of electricity used during charging. Then Toyota will generate or buy an equivalent amount of Renewable Energy Certificates to match the amount of energy used, to ensure that charging for your bZ4X is matched with zero-carbon electricity.

Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control

Intended for highway use, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) lets you drive at a preset speed. The system uses vehicle-to-vehicle distance control to help maintain a preset distance from the vehicle ahead of you.

Lane Departure Alert With Steering Assist

By detecting visible white/yellow lane markings at speeds above 32 mph, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA) is designed to issue an audio/visual alert if an inadvertent lane departure is detected. If the driver does not take corrective action, the Steering Assist function is designed to provide gentle corrective steering.

Lane Tracing Assist

When Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) is enabled and lane markers are detectable, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) uses the lines on the road and/or preceding vehicles to help keep the vehicle centered in its lane. While LTA is activated, the Emergency Driving Stop System (EDSS) is designed to monitor the driver’s steering and pedal inputs, and can bring the vehicle to a stop if the driver does not respond to prompts to resume control of the vehicle.

Road Sign Assist

Using an intelligent camera, Road Sign Assist (RSA) is designed to detect speed limit signs, stop signs, Do Not Enter signs and yield signs. The system displays the signs on the Multi-Information Display (MID).

Automatic High Beams

The Automatic High Beams (AHB) safety system is designed to help you see more clearly at night at speeds above 25 mph. The AHB system can detect the headlights of oncoming vehicles and taillights of preceding vehicles, then automatically toggles between high and low beams accordingly.

Bird’s Eye View Camera

bZ4X’s available Bird’s Eye View Camera with Perimeter Scan helps you check your surroundings for hazards. It uses four cameras, one on each side of the vehicle, to display a bird’s-eye view on the touchscreen display. When you’re parked and using the Moving View setting, bZ4X creates an animated virtual view from above to give you a bigger picture of what’s around.

Every new bZ4X comes with ToyotaCare, a maintenance plan that covers normal factory scheduled service for 2 years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first, and 24-hour Roadside Assistance for 3 years, unlimited mileage.

Hands-Free Power Liftgate

Powered to help you out. With the push of a button, the available hands-free power rear liftgate can open and close automatically. When your hands are full, bZ4X senses your Smart Key and opens automatically when you wave your foot under the center of the rear bumper.

Front and Rear Parking Assist With Automatic Braking

Available Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking (PA w/AB) audibly and visually warns you when it detects stationary objects or vehicles approaching from the rear. If the system determines there may be contact with a detected obstacle or vehicle, it will reduce engine power and/or apply the brakes.

Wi-Fi Connect

With an active Wi-Fi Connect trial/subscription, you can turn your bZ4X into a hotspot with 4G connectivity. This feature allows up to five devices to stay connected to favorite apps for work or play while conserving battery power and data for every device. Integrated Streaming also connects to your Apple Music^® or Amazon Music^™ accounts to give you access to your personalized playlist. Wi-Fi Connect, with up to 3 GB within 1-month trial.
