At the New York International Auto Show in April, Toyota revealed the new 2020 Toyota Highlander SUV, fully redesigned for the new model year with unique styling, improved performance and fuel economy, and unbeatable technology.

The 2020 Toyota Highlander debut showed off a new chiseled design, with the side of the SUV cutting outward sharply at the wheel and near the bottom of the doors. Its front end features the same sharp angles, with deep-set headlights and an angular grille.

With a standard V6 engine, the Highlander will deliver 295 horsepower and will be paired with a Direct Shift eight-speed automatic transmission for smooth, powerful handling. The 2020 Highlander even boasts a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped.

Toyota also displayed the new Highlander Hybrid, which will make its way to dealership floors in early 2020, a few months after customers can buy the non-hybrid version. The next-generation hybrid engine produces 240 horsepower for an estimated fuel economy at 34 mpg combined — a 17 percent increase over the outgoing model year.

The Highlander will come with the standard Toyota Safety Senseâ„¢ 2.0, smartphone connectivity, Amazon Alexa compatibility, and the largest multimedia display in the segment at 12.3 inches. With these features, you can relax and drive more safely, with driver-assist technology like Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist and access to smartphone apps without ever looking at your phone.

We look forward to showing you the all-new 2020 Toyota Highlander when it debuts in the showroom at Wondries Toyota.
